ADULT PROBATION:
The principal legislative-mandated tasks accomplished
by Adult Probation are the preparation of investigative reports and
sentencing recommendations for the Consolidated Superior Court on
criminal, diversion and probation actions, and the supervision of
offenders granted formal probation or diversion. Additionally,
this division manages a variety of specialized program elements
including the Adult Offender Work
Program, Drug Court
Program and the Yuba
County Drug Impact Program. Interrelated services are
provided to adult domestic violence probationers in the Violence Against Women Program.
ADULT OFFENDER WORK PROGRAM:
This highly structured and supervised work program is
a sentencing alternative for the adult courts. Work is ordered in
lieu of custody for low level adult offenders. Offenders are
considered in-custody during the work period and pay a fee to
participate. Work is also assigned in lieu of fine payments.
DRUG COURT:
This program element is a highly structured drug
treatment program involving judicial case supervision coupled with
intensive probation supervision, drug treatment, drug testing and life
skills/health services. Maximum participants, 20.
YUBA COUNTY DRUG IMPACT
PROGRAM:
This enforcement program provides intensive supervision
to offenders in the community, coupled with intensive drug testing and
tactical search interventions. Close cooperation with law enforcement
and Net-5, as well as armed department staff, provide cooperative
monitoring of high risk substance abuse offenders in the community.
VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN PROGRAM:
Targeted high risk domestic violence offenders are
provided intensive supervision and treatment services. This program
blends intensive monitoring with treatment options and works closely
with the Department's Victim/Witness Program.
