Temporary Food/ Community Events

The California Health and Safety Code, Sec. 114387 requires a Temporary Food Facility (TFF) Permit of any person or organization that is providing food/drink at a public event. All food/drink vendors, including existing restaurants, are required to apply for a Temporary Food Facility Permit when participating in a Community Event.

A community event is a special event where food will be sold or given away to the public from temporary food facility booths. Examples of community events include the peach festival, marysville historic faire, bok kai, chili cook-offs and other similar nonprofit and for-profit events that are open to the public.
