Important Information Regarding Available Services
Beginning Friday, March 20th the Yuba County Clerk-Recorder/Elections will be closed for in-person services.  Mandatory essential services will be provided only by mail and online.  If the service you are looking for is not listed, it is not available at this time.

County Recorder:
  • Recording documents by mail and electronic recording through verified Electronic Recording Partners
  • Searching the index of Official Records (Grant Deeds, etc.) https://recorder.co.yuba.ca.us:8443/web/user/disclaimer
  • Purchasing copies of Official Records (Grant Deeds, etc.) by mail
County Clerk:
  • Purchase vital record certified copies (Birth, Death, Marriage Certificates) by mail and online through https://www.vitalchek.com/
  • Fictitious Business Names by mail
  • CEQA filings by mail
Elections:




Yuba County Elections is a division of the County Clerk/Recorder Office.  The Elections Office performs duties as mandated by state, federal and local law under the direction of the elected County Clerk, Terry A. Hansen.

Election duties include:

CONDUCT FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL ELECTIONS

VOTER REGISTRATION MAINTENANCE

CANDIDATE FILING

FAIR POLITICAL PRACTICES COMMISSION (FPPC) FILING OFFICER

COORDINATE POLLING PLACES

RECRUIT POLL WORKERS

TEST / PREPARE VOTING EQUIPMENT

PROCESS VOTE BY MAIL BALLOTS
