Call Yuba County Elections at (530) 749-7855 to begin the candidate filing process.
After verifying your registration and eligibility, you will be asked to provide an email address or mailing address where filing documents and information can be mailed / emailed. NOTE: Email is the preferred method of delivery due to time constraints. You will be required to print documents emailed to you.
Step 2: Schedule phone/Zoom review of candidate filing documents.
After you have received your documents by email or mail, call the Elections Office to schedule a phone or Zoom appointment to review your filing documents. Please allow 30 minutes to an hour for the review.
Prior to the meeting you will be notified which filing documents you should have printed for the meeting.
During this review elections staff will go over all required documents, all optional filings and answer any questions you have.
For Zoom appointments Elections Staff will email you a link with the necessary login information.
Step 3: Phone/Zoom review of completed candidate filing documents
Once you have completed all required and optional documents, call the Elections Office to schedule a phone or Zoom appointment to review your documents.
Call or login to Zoom at your scheduled appointment time.
At the conclusion of the review, elections staff will schedule your in-person appointment and tell you what documents you need to bring with you.
