Human Resources provides guidance, training and technical support to County Departments on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our employees as well as visitors to County facilities. The key programs of the Loss Prevention Unit are: Injury and Illness Prevention, Ergonomics, drug and alcohol testing, and the DMV Pull Notice Program. Human Resources controls claim costs by promoting worker health and safety through training, compliance with CalOSHA regulations and pre-emptive programs.
