The proposed budget was approved by the Yuba County Board of Supervisors on June 25. The proposal is the result of balancing service needs for county residents with anticipated revenues and expenses. As is typical, the county must wait until after the beginning of the budget period before it receives more accurate figures from the state and other agencies that provide many of the estimates for revenues and expenses. In August, budget workshops with the Board of Supervisors will be held, leading up to final budget approval. The public is welcome to be part of these workshops.
