Camptonville, Ca. - Yuba County Sheriff Detectives are conducting a Coroner’s investigation into the discovery of human remains located near the Dark Day Campground at New Bullards Bar Reservoir near Camptonville, just before 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday December 21, 2021.
A hiker in the area discovered the skeletal remains and called 911. Deputies responded and confirmed the remains were human. Investigators were called to the scene to conduct a coroner’s investigation, which is active and ongoing at this time. The identity of the deceased and cause of death remain pending an autopsy.
