Camptonville-area fire progress stopped, all evacuation orders have been lifted.

 

MARYSVILLE, CA – As of 5 p.m. today all evacuation orders have been lifted. A road closure remains on HWY 49 at Ridge Way to Marysville Rd due to fire traffic, all through traffic is advised to use an alternate route.

 

Over 100 firefighters and eleven aircraft worked together to stop the progress of a blaze, dubbed the Golden Fire, south of Camptonville in Yuba County that started just after 6 a.m. today and grew to about 25 acres by noon.

 

Sheriff Deputies assisted in helping residents evacuate safely, going door-to-door and using hi-low sirens to alert resident to the danger. CodeRED emergency alerts were also used to notify residents within evacuation zones. Yuba County Office of Emergency Services staff worked to coordinate services and provide updates to the community.
