General Accounting & Reporting

This division is responsible for recording all transactions of County monies in the County's financial system, for maintaining budgetary control for various funds, and for enforcing accounting policies and procedures.  This division is also responsible for preparing financial statements and other reports required by State law which include the County's audited financial statements, the Financial Transaction Report for the State Controller's Office, and the final budget. 

Financial Reports

The Auditor-Controller's office publishes periodic financial reports to provide information to the general public and give an overview of the financial position, activity, and overall fiscal condition. 

Audited Financial Statements

The Auditor-Controller's office prepares financial statements which are then audited by an outside CPA firm in accordance with standard procedures.  The CPA firm provides an opinion of the financial statements and if they accurately reflect the financial position of Yuba County.

Single Audit Reports

As part of the County's annual audit, additional work is performed to evaluate the County's compliance with reporting and use of funds requirements related to Federal grants.

Final Budget
State law requires the County Auditor-Controller to annually prepare and publish a final budget, as adopted by the Board of Supervisors.
