The Treasurer is an independent elected official, voted in by the constituents of Yuba County, and is the entrusted custodian of all funds within the County. The County Treasury is responsible for the daily receipt, custody, deposit, and investment of all funds for the County, school districts, special districts, joint power authorities, and affiliated agents whose funds are held and invested by the County Treasurer.
The Tax Collector is an independent elected official, voted in by the constituents of Yuba County, and is charged with the responsibility of the billing and collection of all secured, unsecured, and supplemental property taxes for Yuba County. All functions of the Tax Collector are governed by California Revenue and Taxation Code.
→ Current Secured property tax bills were mailed out between October 8th and October 11th; the first installment is due November 1, 2019 and will be delinquent if not paid by December 10, 2019. **If you do not receive your bill by November 1, 2019, please contact our office**
→ The State Controller's Office will begin accepting applications for the Property Tax Postponement program on October 1, 2019. The deadline to submit your application to them is February 10, 2020.
