The Treasurer is an independent elected official, voted in by the constituents of Yuba County, and is the entrusted custodian of all funds within the County. The County Treasury is responsible for the daily receipt, custody, deposit, and investment of all funds for the County, school districts, special districts, joint power authorities, and affiliated agents whose funds are held and invested by the County Treasurer.
The Tax Collector is an independent elected official, voted in by the constituents of Yuba County, and is charged with the responsibility of the billing and collection of all secured, unsecured, and supplemental property taxes for Yuba County. All functions of the Tax Collector are governed by California Revenue and Taxation Code.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
→ The second installment for Current Secured was due no later than April 10, 2023. If your payment was not received or is not postmarked by that date, it is now subject to a 10% late penalty and a $20.00 cost.
→ Current secured reminder notices were mailed out on 05/01/2023 for any property with an unpaid 2nd installment (current secured and current supplemental assessments).
→California Mortgage Relief Program has expanded their assistance program to include past-due property tax payment assistance. Homeowners who qualify can receive up to $80,000 to cover past-due property taxes. For more information, please visit our Assistance Programs and Exemptions page.
