The Treasurer is an independent elected official, voted in by the constituents of Yuba County, and is the entrusted custodian of all funds within the County. The County Treasury is responsible for the daily receipt, custody, deposit, and investment of all funds for the County, school districts, special districts, joint power authorities, and affiliated agents whose funds are held and invested by the County Treasurer.
The Tax Collector is an independent elected official, voted in by the constituents of Yuba County, and is charged with the responsibility of the billing and collection of all secured, unsecured, and supplemental property taxes for Yuba County. All functions of the Tax Collector are governed by California Revenue and Taxation Code.
→EFFECTIVE March 19, 2020: Our office hours for property tax payments will be Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 1:00pm should you wish to make your property tax payment(s) in person. Payments are still being accepted by mail, payments can be made by way of credit card or e-check through our website or automated phone service (a fee does apply / click HERE for payment website / phone 1-866-477-2406), or payments can be made through the bill payment service offered through your own financial institution (if available). These hours of operation will remain in effect until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we will continue to do as much as we can to keep our community and staff members safe and healthy.
