The Treasurer's Department is effectively the County's bank. The Treasury provides general banking services for County departments, school districts, special districts, joint power authorities, and affiliated agents. Some of those services include but are not limited to:
   •Process daily deposits
   •Carry out the daily transmittal of check deposits to the bank
   •Process stop payment orders
   •Process returned checks 
   •Maintain records/statements of accounts with all financial institutions

The Treasurer's Department carries out an array of functions in addition to the general banking services. Some of those functions include but are not limited to:
   •Manage the County investment portfolio
   •Ensure security of investments
   •Maximize the County's return on investments
   •Maintain sufficient liquidity to meet the financial needs of the County on a daily basis
