2010-2011
Unsecured Property Tax Bills have been mailed out and are
now due and payable by August 31, 2010. A 10%
penalty will apply for any payments mailed after 8/31/2010.
Additional interest penalty will apply after 10/31/2010 at
1
1/2% per month.
All late
post marks will be subject to the penalty amount due.
Ownership on the
lien date (January 1, 2010) determines the obligation to pay taxes.
The disposal of property after the lien date does not relieve the owner
of his responsibility.
Have you SOLD, MOVED or
DISPOSED of any unsecured property?
Please contact the Yuba County Assessor's office at (530) 749 7820.
Payments
made by check, draft or money -
Please assure yourself that the
payment will be honored. Returned checks, drafts or money orders will be
subject to a return paper cost. The cost may be added to your tax bill.
Payments made by checks will be
converted into an electronic format, which could create an electronic
fund transfer that potentially could be withdrawn from your account as
soon as the same day that payment is made.
Additional
payment information -
When
making payment in person, please bring the ENTIRE tax bill, with payment
stubs intact, for
proper
validation and receipt.
If you
choose to mail the payment in and a receipt is desired, send in the
entire bill with your payment stubs intact and a self-addressed stamped
return envelope along with your payment.
