Attempted Murder Arrest - Woman Stabbed at Olivehurst Home

Olivehurst, Ca. – On January 5, 2022, Yuba County Sheriff Patrol Deputies arrested 23-year-old Zachary Allen of Olivehurst for attempted murder in the alleged stabbing of a woman at her home on Okmulgee Avenue Wednesday afternoon. Deputies responded to a 911 call from the victim just before 3pm reporting that she was stabbed and that the suspect had fled on foot. The victim provided a description of the suspect, which was transmitted over the radio by YCSO Dispatchers to responding units, including Olivehurst Fire Department for medical aid.

While responding to the call, Olivehurst Fire personnel spotted a man matching the description of the suspect on Chapman Avenue in Olivehurst and relayed the information to Deputies who arrived on scene and detained Allen. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that Allen had been visiting a resident at the victim’s home when an altercation occurred, resulting in the alleged stabbing of the 57-year-old Olivehurst woman.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where she was treated and released. Allen was booked into the Yuba County Jail for attempted murder, where he is currently held with a bail of 1 million dollars.
